Invisible orthodontic alignment
Aligner brace therapies involve a transparent removable splint which can be used to correct slight to medium irregularities in tooth alignment. With the aid of a special computer graphic process a series of individual splints are produced, each to be worn for around two weeks. During this time continuous pressure on the teeth moves them in the direction previously calculated. Then the next splint is fitted, until the desired outcome is achieved. The duration of the treatment is normally between around 6 and 18 months, depending on the degree of misalignment. The advantage of this system lies in the ease of use for the patient – the splint is almost invisible, does not interfere with speaking and can be removed when eating or brushing your teeth.
